      The First Doctor, William Hartnell, is portrayed here in hand embroidery.  In classic tie with his cape fastening added in gold bullion.  Each regeneration of the Doctor is available individually or in a group, please see my other listing for specific Doctors. 

      Each portrait is a limited edition, only 461 of each piece will be made, when there gone there gone, no amount of wibbly wobbly timey wimeyness will help you.

      The portraits are all hand embroidered on to hand applied felt using silk or satin ribbons where appropriate, for the all important ties and cravats.

      The portraits are worked on a cream 100% cotton sateen background. The appliqué pieces are hand cut from premium 40% Wool, 60% Viscose felt. The hand embroidery is worked in a mixture of stranded cotton with a little wool to add texture in places. Also a little bit of gold bullion on the first doctor and touch of leatherette on the ninth.
      The finished picture is stretched over hand cut mount board ready to pop in to the white box frame with Perspex.
